Deep drainage wells

11/17/2011 6:23 AM

I want to learn if HDPE pipes can be used for deep drainage wells (up to 70 m depth)

Also is there a manual to calculate the diamater and pressure class of the pipe

Go to any pipe supplier web site and you will find the information.

ADS, one of the world's largest HDPE pipe manufacturers has load vs. depth of bury tables dependent on the type of pipe bedding and pipe zone backfill, as well as the type of pipe trench configuration, etc.

And yes, if you do a Google search you will find the necessary engineering calculations to determine design pipe loading magnitudes vs. allowable pipe loading mags.
