Electrical & Mechanical Equipment Life Cycle Information

11/22/2011 5:37 PM

Guys,

Does anyone know of a good site or data base with expected life cycle and Mean time between failures for Mechaical and\or Electrical plant?

I have to develop a life cycle analysis and total cost of ownership for a site I have just taken on and need some baselines.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Sapper

Normally the MTBF data is cataloged by the manufacturer or parts supplier. This data is available upon request. Good quality mfrs will gladly share this data.

Use the maintenance schedules provided in the manuals for life-cycle estimates. Real-world MTBF should also be factored in that analysis.

The data should be documented at the lowest replaceable unit level.

Yeah.. but I have a lot of equipment and was hoping someone would know of a general Data Base or knowledge repository for generic stuff, like motors, chiller, UPS, Generator etc.

Looks like lots of phone calls.

Regards,
Sapper
