Can anyone explain the term Fr.315L ?

I have seen it from related to the energy efficient motors.

It is the motor Frame Number and has nothing to do with efficiency (It gives the motor capacity and mounting dimensions including shaft size and position)

It is going to be quite a bit detailed. If you can get hold of check IS 1231.

It has all the data that you need from table 1 to 4.
