Cycle Tire Analysis

11/27/2011 3:58 AM

Can anyone provide me ideas for various analysis that can be done on tyre?

Example various forces and moment scenarios and how they could be achieved in a CAD/finite element software like pro-engineering?Any technical term to define such form of analysis

Friction and contact with ground

Gyroscopic action of tyre

other calculations including forces, moments, torque, coefficient of friction, contact with road etc.

Check text book. Ask instructor.

You've got a good start with those you mention.

Can you advise me more precisely on calculations relating to the topics mentioned?

Example various forces and moment scenarios and how they could be achieved in a CAD/finite element software like pro-engineering?Any technical term to define such form of analysis

Friction and contact with ground

Gyroscopic action of tyre

other calculations including forces, moments, torque, coefficient of friction, contact with road etc.

Why not just hire someone to take the test for you? You're not going to learn anything by asking others to do the work for you.

Are you going for a MBA, or law degree?

Here's my advice.

1. Pay attention in class.

2. Listen to the instructor.

3. Do your homework, on time.

4. Take a look at FEA.

Finally, I don't understand how you claim to be able to "do the calculations" when you have no idea what they might be.

Maybe you should hire a tutor to explain, "forces, moments, torque, coefficient of friction, contact with road etc."

Or, begin by trying to understand the forces at play when a tire rolls.

Do you know how to use a search engine? You might try that first before asking for an infusion of knowledge by total strangers.

Hi..........

According to me you should refer two books and you may get required material.

Let me tell you,I haven't read them just seen them....

1) Tire and vehicle dynamic by Packeja

2) Fundamental of vehicle dynamics by T.D. Gillespie

Just go through them and give me feed back..........

Bye........
