In what context did this take place?

Not with standing the confused tense, you'll have had a block of useless solid cement, with very little strength.

If you try it you will get a handy door stop, but not anything structurally sound.

This is why apprentices must always be monitored, you never know what they will do that cannot be solved with a quick fix (ah, boss I forgot to add the aggregate!).

I had an opened bag of Portland Cement go missing in the garage for a season. When I found it I had a lovely hunk of Portland Stone -- I still use a hunk for sharpening pocket knives; it puts a lovely polish on the edges.

Dear Pavani,

Technically Cement paste will increase the shrinkage cracks because of high amount of heat of hydration as compare to concrete.

CTE (coefficient of thermal expansion) for cement paste is 18 to 20 x10-6/degree.C. But for concrete the CTE will not be more than 14.5(approx).

Also the steel reinforcement used in concrete structure is based on the material properties like CTE. ( for steel the CTE will be 13).

If you are going to use the cement paste instead of concrete then the reinforcement steel should be replaced by the other material which have the relevant CTE of cement paste in conventional concrete.

Also many more disadvantages there like economy and CO2 emission etc,.
