Carry Back Cargo Enquiry

12/07/2011 9:09 AM

We have a fleet of over around 100 rigid dumpers(komatsu HD 465 R and
Volvo A40D and Volvo A40 E models ) We are facing a problem of
material being sticked to the dumper
during the monsoon time because of that our tonnage handling loss is happening
We are having iron ore mining at goa grades range from 54F to 61F

can someone suggest solution for this?

Not quite sure what your asking but will make a stab at an answer. It sounds like the material that your loading into the dump units for transfer is sticking to the inside of the dump bed. If this is the case (and I have ran into this before) you can solve by lining the beds with Ploytivar UHMW sheeting. Not much will stick to this material and it holds up well to the abuse of loading and unloading beds.

wat is special about this sheet?

And one more drawback is if i put a to the profile of the dump body, then the material falling from the excavator bucket have much potential energy so it will easily damage the sheet..

how it is economical?

You might consider a vibrator ...random selection, not an endorsement

Well the use diesel to spray into dump trucks to keep asphalt from sticking.

or as some one else suggested line them with non-stick surface.

Both may not be cost effective to do. Continuous cost of diesel or the up keep on the liner as they will wear.

I would set up a washing operation at the point of unloading. With reclamation pit for all that's washed out. Some over head type sprinklers that would blast it out of the trucks. Water from the pit can be recycled for the operation.

It can always be reclaimed and won't be far from where it needs to go.

we are already planned and gonna install a automation cleaning system for washing the high trucks and machineries..suppose if i use the washing system the material which sticks to the dump body gets removed, but the material which was removed will get collected near the cleaning system..again it will increase the work of maintenance guy over der to look of the same material to remove...

Can you have water sprays aimed at the dumper when unloading?

It may help the material to slide and clean the box/truck at the same time.

We might have a solution. Our CRODON Wear Plate has been in trial in some Canadian mining trucks for a while with good results. It's been used for overburden, coal, waste coal, and oils sands in cold and wet/muchy material. For additional information, you can contact the truck body company we work with for this, Philippi-Haggenbuch. Can't say for certain they would recommend CRODON in the solution but I am confident they can solve your problems.Their contact information in the US is telephone - (309) 697-9200, web page - www.philsystems.com,
