I didn't mean to cause any confusion, but I thought this was a Mechanical Engineering blog. FEA stands for Finite Element Analysis, which I thought was a pretty general term in engineering. Do you know what "load history" is with respect to Finite Element Analysis?
The sequence of application of loads (loadinghistory) may be important. Especially, plastic deformations depend on a manner of loading. This is a reason for dividing loads into small increments in nonlinear FE analysis.
