I strogly advise you to go to a nearest battery dealer.

Electolyte is a medium for carrying electrons from battery's from cathode to anode.

Perform an internet search and come back to us with an inquiry that makes some sense.

In the mean time you can tell us what type of batteries you are inquiring about and what application they are for.

If your question is any indication of your level of competence then I'd have to say that you shouldn't be touching them.

The electrolyte is the liquid medium that is in the batteries.

If the batteries are working OK, all that you need to do is keep them topped up to the indicated level with distilled water. This replaces the water content of the acid that is evaporated during the charge and discharge process.

The only time anything is placed in other than the water, is when the batteries have nearly "karked it" and have become sulphated. This means that the plate surfaces have had a build-up of sulphates due to (usually) excessive discharging and the normal plate surface characteristics have had a hard crystal formation build up.

In this case, there are proprietry solutions on the market that can be added to the electrolyte in the hope that the layer can be re-constituted back to close to the original porous layer that the battery began with. However, this method has its followers and its detractors.

The question posed in reply does have merit in that;- "what is the reason for your question"

If you are talking about lead acid batteries such as AGM or GEL the question does not even have merit. The electrolyte is not a liquid.
