Generator Reactances

12/10/2011 8:04 AM

Can some one assist for calculating generator reactances like transient reactance , sub transient reactance, direct axis tansient/ sub transient reactances from electrical parameter like voltage , current , p.f. of a running generator?

Why short circuit current is calculated from direct axis sub transient reactance only ?
