Hydrojet Machine Manufacturing

12/12/2011 4:16 AM

Dear Specialists,

Our company planned to manufacture one Hydro jet cleaning machine, especially for coil cleaning (Water distiller/Heat treatment plant/Oil tubs etc) and we found locally (UAE) available this type of machine with very high price. I learn from my friends its contain one compressor unit, water heating unit, generator or AC power and found one machine and written the pressure 35000psi. Waiting for your advice.

Buy a machine. DO NOT try to build one, unless you can get your friends to design and build it for you. They seem to at least have an inkling of what it is.

Buy it.

35,000 PSI is extremely dangerous. If something is not designed correctly, and goes wrong fluid at that pressure will CUT YOU IN HALF.

Buy one.

This sounds extremely high. Are you sure you don't have at least 1 to many zeros in there?

If that pressure is right, what is the flow rate and nozzel size?

You could do a lot of damage to the item you are trying to clean or wear out nozzels rapidly.

I have used steam cleaners 1200 PSI and that was not something I would like to do again.

Dear Sunilmaxwell,

I share the same views of lyn & RVZ 717. High pressure cleaning is reqd for such application of HT or oil tubes etc. Low pressure will not remove the hard scales etc. To understand better see the web site ; www.karcher.com. good luck. Rangasamy

You need to specify a model. Having serviced machines at 3500 psi, and live steam, I'm pretty sure you have no idea of the technology required to make a safe machine. Give the price and model number.

What price have you been quoted?

I have built UHP machines to 40,000 psi so have an idea of what they cost, or , as has been suggested you could Google UHP jetting machine manufacturers.

Are you sure about that pressure. We use 150 bar pressure to descale Cs plates before rolling. Your pressure seems a bit high.

From my own experience with exactly what you are talking about except We use 45k,psi. I advise that the company spend the money to buy a unit from a reputable manufacturer. With that said check the manufacturers background and customer satisfaction, ask for reference. I say this simply because there are several companies now building junk.

Ultra high pressure brings several problems not seen at lower pressures, you need someone with the knowledge and experiences dealing with the problems only seen at those pressures. On another note, you or your company may not be aware of, maintenance cost of such a machine which are very high. Be prepared to replace hoses and pump packing routinely.
