Butt Weld Fitting Used With Socket Weld Flanges

I have reviewed your website but I still do not see where you can or cannot weld a butt end weld reducer into a socket weld flange per ASME standards. The butt weld fitting fits into the socket weld flange perfect except it is shorter than the socket weld swage reducer.

The only pipe I've ever welded is exhaust pipe.

I don't have a copy of the spec either.

I could probably muck about for some time and find something, but it's too late for rational thought right now. Those windows keep getting smaller and smaller.
