12/19/2011 1:47 AM

Some one will kind enough to tell me formula for making Tile Adhesive for Ceramic,

Vitrified & porcelin tile for the purpose of Tile on Tile fixing as well as Marble & Granite

on smooth surface. I am making the product but it is not up to mark with Standard

brands in Indian Market.

Need more specs, as to adhesive force standards, drying time and application form and methods. What is your formula now?

Publish the formula here for the stuff being made now. The forum might be able to explain its shortcomings and suggest some improvements.

Pl. note formula-Cement-400kg,Coarse sand-160kg. Fine Sand-880kg..Dolomite-160kg.

Sodium Meta Silicate-20kg. Bentonite-24kg. POP-20kg. PVA G-17 GHOSENOL-8 kg.

All are mixed in Ball mill for about 40/60 minutes.

We get 82x20 kg bags in single batch.

Please suggest improvement and could we eliminate PVA (Being too costly-Rs.238/=per kg) and use Gypsum/Rosin or Resin.

How is your product not up to mark? Does it have a quantifiable deficiency or is it an intangible deficiency?

Product is quite good but we feel their is some thing missing comparing to standard brands, their tagging is better that`s why we feel both defeciencis are to be tackled.

Define the deficiencies first. Then you'll know what you are tackling. Can't do much with just a feeling...

What do you mean by "tagging"

Tagging wrongly mention sorry for mistake its Here Tag means binding or Adhesion to

Surface on which Tile Adhesive is placed.

If you mean tacking by application - while the "mud" is still wet - it can also be the course of your ingredients. This is a surface matter: too much granules (sand) = less contact.
