Are you having a specific problem or just seeking a tutorial on controls in a compressor circuit?

Some common interlocks for a freon unit:

1 Slider valve closed (used on screw comp)

2 Low suction pressure (not a problem on start up)

3 Hi discharge pressure

4 Low oil pressure (usually a difference between oil and dish. pressure)

5 Too low or high Oil temp (needs to be above minimum for start up)

6 Oil level in separator (if equiped) or sump

7 Cooling water flow( depending on application)

8 Some units may have high level trips on chiller or flash drum or reciever

This is a few but they are all a little different depending on age and whether it is hardwired controls or PLC.

Oil pressure is the difference between LOW pressure and oil pressure.
