What are the effects of presence of moisture in Turbine Lube oil System? How Moisture effect turbine bearings & what is the tolerable limit of the moisture?

Any moisture is bad. Moisture can cause rust on bearing surfaces. Moisture also reduces the viscosity and lubricity of the lubricant. Oh, foam isn't good either.

The lubrication oil data sheet should give you information. The bearing supplier may have an opinion, too.

Keep it dry!

adds on: Moisture can cause caviataion action within the bearing damaging the white metal.
