Wohlenberg Guillotine Enigma

12/29/2011 1:43 PM

HELLO GUYS!

Have any of you guys have any experience with wohlenberg cutters?

I have been struggling with a wohlenberg MCS-2 TV guillotine cutter for over a week now. As far as I can tell, all led relay lights report no irregular conditions. However my K-50 and K-51 contactors for the knife magnetic-clutch will not turn on.

I am having trouble finding a point to test which will send me in the right direction, the german schematic that I have is has thrown me for a loop I am having trouble tracing the control paths. The redundencies through the grips, barriers and relays have tripped me up numerous times. I could really use some input.

Sincerely Reduced To Rubble, Marty

l had overcome related problems twice; (1)Try check all the N/C / N/O contacts on all the contactors using ohmsmeter for continuity with mains switch off ( 2) check the wires from the gripswitches for continuity to the safe C module using ohm meter with mainswitch off. GOOD LUCK.

You have a schematic???!!! In German no less....

Lucky sod!!!!!

You want to try tracing out wiring without any information on a 20 year old retired Japanese guillotine completely labeled in Katakana script, rebuilt in Vietnam...

Now that's an exercise in returning to first principals.

I hear your pain. Good luck mate!
