I don't know of any literature concerning supporting components in a furnace.

Could you be more specific? What type of furnace? Atmosphere, vaccum?

When you say supporting components, are you referring to product resting on a hearth or a conveyor? Supporting the elements?, supporting shielding?

They need to sit flat. Long piece need to be supported along its length or hang on one end only. So that it won't bend. You may need to put weight on long thin piece to prevent bending.
