You should really try A search engine first,Web search engine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Then you, too, can find information.

That's ok. Duplicate answers abound here.

Many people seem to mistake this site for a free reference/homework/knowledge injection site.

Thank you for enlightenment of how this forum is supposed to work. You, obviously have read the FAQ's and the rules, right?????/?????

And, silly me, all this time I thought it was for engineers to discuss technical problems and questions, with occasional discussions thrown in.

Not to answer inane questions like, "and what do you use them for", which indicates a complete lack of knowledge of the subject at hand and sounds like a survey more than a particular problem with an electrode.

And you may have failed to notice in your zeal to condemn us that we all three gave the OP an answer to the question, which is far more than you have contributed!!!!!!

Cheers, and come back any time.

I am glad you understand what a discussion forum is now you complete moron.

You or your idiot colleagues on here, congratulating each other for telling a forum member to look on google, thats not an answer. Do you honestly think the person had not heard of a google search (could be if you expect everyone to have your brain power)

In my opinion, ISEs are difficult to use, they have short life spans, are expensive, fragile and not very specific. I use ISEs to measure NH4/NO3 in soil extracts.

I would be interested to know the reason for starting this discussion, Rather than simply pointing you towards google

You'll go far here. You have demonstrated so many endearing qualities in just your first two posts.

At least this time you managed to give some type of answer to the OP. Do you know what an OP is?

I can't hang around here any linger. I have to go hit my fingers with a hammer for awhile. That'll be more pleasant than this exchange has been.

Have a GREAT day.

Like I said before, if you don't have anything positive to contribute, then why did you even bother in the first place? bizarre

Have a bad day, you deserve it for your caustic approach to others

Maybe next time you might decide to be helpful

You just joined this forum, Jan.2012, you have a total of three posts to this forum and of those three posts, you have attacked Lyn in all three of your replies. You have no clue about this forum or the type of questions that are fielded here. If you had taken the time to review the type of questions that come across this forum, you would see that there are a lot of Engineering students looking for someone to do their research and homework for them! Also, there are a lot auto repair questions asked here! " We don't appreciate doing some one's own research or home work for them. And we do try and help anybody that comes here regarding automotive repair. And when an OP's, (original poster to you), last question in the series of question is, "and what do you use them for?" is a RED FLAG for a home work question or a person that does not want to do their own research

Are you that arrogant, to think that the world and this forum revolves around what borg thinks is right or how it's suppose to operate IAW borg? Going through and marking people's replies as OT's (off Topic to you), only shows you own maturity level, as it doesn't hurt our feelings at all, especially when coming from someone like you.

You need to realize, we didn't miss you before you came here, as this forum has been operating quite nicely before you showed up and will continue run quite nicely after we're gone. Feel free to come back anytime. Oh yeah, Welcome to CR4

I'll say the same thing to you buddy!

if you don't have anything positive to contribute, then why did you even bother in the first place? bizarre

If this whole board was made up of people like you and lyn it would be in bad shape, fortunately the people on this site are here to help, not to throw out sarcastic comments and then join in with the other teenagers laughing at how funny they are.

Hi Borg,

Thanks for your reply. Do you use liquid filled or solid state?

Sorry for causing confusion with my post. I actually already know a lot about ISEs themselves so I don't need to do a web search. The point of question was to get an idea of how other people find them, and what problems people have with them.
