Graphene as Plastic Filler

According to graphene creators (both Nobel prize winners) as little as 1% of this material mixed in plastics or rubber can turn them into electrical conductors. Could graphene as a filler find applications as nanosensors in oilfield operations ?

Down hole, up hole, humans, vegatables, trains, solar cells, just about anywhere.

And they were just discovered. Think where they'll be in ten years.

I got lost for a couple hour checking out the research that's being done and it does look promising. I was wondering about any Patents being applied for and found this article interviewing Andre Geim.
