hello paata , to adjust the AVR voltage or hz you need to connect your voltmeter to line and neutral then do the adjusment tunr clockwize or counterclwz while your are doing that you will see your multimeter volt reading either up or down the voltage same the adjustment of hertz , but if you do that the generator should start warning always use rubber safety glove, you can find the AVR inside the panel box of genset alternator !!!!

Have you contacted Kohler and requested their adjustment procedure?

Kohler should also have "start-up" (usually) sub-contractors. If Kohler cannot help you (highly unlikely) ask Kohler for contact information for one of their start-up subs.
