Video Recording by Laptop

HI ALL,

I want to record the tv programs in a laptop using some software. Have any softaware available?

or, is there any possible methods to do it using a lap top?

Using Ubuntu Linux based software and a compatible tuner accessory you can turn any computer into a personal digital video recorder.

I use one of these - Easycap, which is usually supplied with software for editing etc.

Works well - just need a lot of hard drive space. I used it primarily to transfer VHS tapes to DVD and it handles any video device with S-video or RCA video/audio output
