What Adhesive is Used on the Front Covers of Magazines?

05/03/2007 10:40 AM

Does any one know the name and make of the sticky adhesive used to fix the Cd's and other items to the front covers of magazines? This stuff is very tacky does not dry out for a long time and yet peels off fairly easily. Looks like silicone rubber but is not.

The glue dots are ok for low volume work but larger runs would use hot melt adhesives dispensed by automatic equipment built into the printing or packaging line. These spray dots or lines of adhesive on to the magazine. Check out http://www.valcocincinnatiinc.com/
