3 phase assumed, swap A and C phase at the motor or motor starter load side.

First, lets eliminate the most obvious, check the motor name plate. Is it reversible? Some are and if yours is, it will should have a wiring schematic on the tag.

If it is not reversible and depending on the size (HP) it may be cheaper to buy a motor with the rotation direction you need.

Another option would be to check with a local motor rebuild shop. They may be able to do a rewind (depending on the particular motor) that would allow reverse rotation but not in all cases.

What is the HP (horse power) of the motor?

Why do you want to reverse the rotation of this motor? Is it still powering the air compressor? Is the air compressor capable of turning the other way? You might want to be sure you will not be scrapping this compressor afterwards.

North of 60 has a good point: Are you running this in reverse attempting to create a vacuum in the reservoir? Are you repurposing the motor from an Ajax compressor to another use?

You need a LynDoor™Industries Virtual MotorDownUnder artificial hemisphere changer.

This baby wires in between the motor and the breakers and makes the motor think it's in the other hemisphere, so it runs backwards. Unlike cheap imitations, our motor bender runs on either 50 or 60 Hz.

Here's a sketch↑

but that is sam pictre how it to shut off ???

anyway it is genious it will run forever

it looks like in the bottom cylinder i see a weight ball sitting in a cradle. below the cradle there is fluid inside a liner the weight of the ball pushes don on the cradle and pushing the fluid out of the cylinder up the outlet pipe through the waterwhel area (turning the wheel] up through the pipe into the upper empty cylinder! as the watrwheel is turned it turns the outside wheel that is connected to a electricity generator. as the big weel turns the generator turns free electricity is generated. This occurs until the weight ball has reaches the bottom of the bottom cylinde

where to buy this amchine ??

AJAX series of compressors can be used in natural gas gathering, natural gas processing, gas injection, gas storage, gas lift, etc. Ajax natural gas engines and compressors are particularly designed for electricity-lacked remote area with stern requirements of heavy-loaded continuous operating conditions.
