sodium silicate adhesive

By colorless do you mean white, or devoid of pigment clear, transparent? What is the complete list of ingredients and percentage of total? What is the application? What are the design parameters?

the composition of my adhesive is 21% yellow dextrin,0.2%sodium metasilicate,58%sodium silicate and 0.5%sodium metaborateoctahydrate.

I 'm going to use this adhesive in detergent powder packing carton . important factor this composition is viscosity. THANK,

0.5% w/w sodium metasilicate;

21% w/w dextrin;

58% w/w alkali metal silicate;

0.5% w/w sodium metaborate octahydrate; and

21% w/w water.

opt-a= alkali metal silicate is sodium silicate.
opt-b= alkali metal silicate is potassium silicate.
The process of making an adhesive composition

(a) adding from about 0.05 to about 0.50% w/w of sodium metasilicate to from about 18.0 to about 62.0% w/w water, while vigorously stirring, to obtain a solution of the sodium metasilicate;

(b) adding with continuous stirring from about 10 to about 47% w/w dextrin to obtain a solution of sodium metasilicate/dextrin;

(c) adding with continuous stirring from about 17 to about 70% w/w of an alkali metal silicate to obtain a solution of sodium metasilicate/dextrin/alkali metal silicate; and

(d) adding with continuous stirring from about 0.05 to about 0.5% w/w of sodium metaborate octahydrate or sodium metaborate tetrahydrate.

Mixture must be stored below...38°C

my friend I made this formulation but with yellow dextrin .I have a problem with that color . do you help me?
