thank u so much..... and one more que! is it necessary to keep step angle 1.8 deg? for my project i calculated step angle 10.9 deg / hr..... varying the solar panel according to the sun's position. initial position of panel ll be 45 deg facin the sun at morning.then moving the panel by motor in steps at 10.9 deg/hr. am using this for 11 hours a day. so totally 120 degree ,the panel should move! is it ri8.... reply soon pls. its urgent!

How did you come to a 10.9 degrees per hour?

Also; it would seem that the smaller the increment steps the better average angle on the collector.

If you have it mounted on good bearings it should not require a lot of torque to turn a 2.5 KG collector.

This very interesting topic was discussed in another thread.

I will try to find it.

The thread above discussed the advantages and disadvantaged of tracking collectors.

It included a lot of good links related to the topic.
