Heart Beat Counter

what type of sensors i can use for the heart beat counter so that i can recieve a voltage signal in each pulse . i have used the piezo electric prssure sensor but the are not performing well.?

sir, i am asking only for sensors / transducers. becasue i have to installed as a periphery

You might try a Reflective Optical Sensor with Transistor Output....
