Low Pressure Steam Required for Liquid Chlorine Vaporisation

Need some guidance to calculate low pressure steam required (2.4 kg/cm2 @ sat.temp) for vaporizing the liquid chlorine from the 1 ton tonners as around 400 kg/hr of chlorine gas at 5 kg/cm2 & 50 deg.C is to be supplied to process plant which is located around 500 mts away from the gassifier.Also the specific volume of the chlorine gas for calculating the pressure drop and line size may also be indicated.

Compare the latent heat of evaporation of steam versus that of chlorine. This will tell you how much steam flow you need; and then add some for various losses.

calculate the heat required for vapourising chlorine from 1 ton tonners at given pr & temperature. thsi heat will be equivalent to evaporation of steam. use MCpdT = constant ,for solving the problem
