Undervoltage Light Comes On

I am working with a QAS38yds Atlas Copco generator, It runs for 17seconds then shuts down and undervoltage light comes on. Any help would be great.

May need excitation, or may be a problem with the AVR, or the windings may be cactus. The genset manual should have instructions on how to induce excitation - this is the case with my manuals for mecce alte spa alternators. I would be inclined to provide more detail if I knew you were competent and not likely to get electrocuted in your troubleshooting and fault finding. At the end of the day hire a qualified and competent electrician.
