Cold Rolled & Hot Rolled SS Material

02/15/2012 11:00 PM

As per ASME Section VIII Div. 1 is their any different specification for hot rolled and cold rolled SA240 TYPE 304?

Can we get lower thickness if we consider cold rolled material instead hot rolled material for pressure vessel design ?

What are the difference between Mechanical properties like allowable stresse in Hot & cold rolled SA240TYPE304?

You should look at ASME sec II (For Materials) or ASTM. Give me your Email. i'll mail you the spec for ASTM A-204 TYPE 304

I have gone through the ASME section II part A & part D. Got the mechanical properties and chimical composition of SA240 TYPE 304. But could not find the different properties for Hot rolled & Cold rolled SA240TYP304.

If you have any idea please let me know.
