Why Current Transformer Polarity Test is Important?

One of Current Transformer test is polarity check. What is the purpose of polarity check.

To ensure that when the CT is used with other measurement devices (such as other CTs in a three phase system) the correct polarity (phasing) is maintained.

Thanks for the help. it is important for differential protection relay system since the CT will communicate with the other CT in the system. How about the other protection like Non-directional overcurrent protection relay? Is polarity of CT important.

I know this drawing is to a VT but the principal is the same.

Reverse the CT's and the output will be nulled.
