Ilme is another mfr of this type of connector, they are an Italian company, the products are sold in the US by Mencom. They tend to specialize in custom connectors more that Harting.

When I saw the picture first, it reminded me of the connections used for fuel road transport tankers. Explosion proof seals and cam locked.

Maybe that avenue could turn up a suitable replacement pair. (Plug and socket)

Thinking out aloud here...

If this is a replacement job then aren't there any mates or complete sets that could be salvaged from the extant kit?

...or is this a photo of the socket on a new panel and you have to find a mating plug for it?

Does the documentation, accompanying the panel with this socket, have a BOM or a parts list on a drawing or in an appendix in the manual?

Hi

I have just started purchasing my multi pin connectors from Conrad Electronic UK Ltd www.conrad-uk.com . I use the Epic brand but they seem to have a massive selection of other stuff. Hope this helps.

I've found where they were made (Tyco (now called TE Connectivity)) but now sadly they dont make them any more. Wal i think we are going to see if we can salvage the old one, but we'll need more information about it. And i think i might have to look at the Epic brand as Brian says just in case we can not use the old one. any way thank for all your help.
