02/23/2012 6:40 AM

Dear Sir,

As per API 650 section 6. 10 % and 50 % RT required on Annular plate welding Joint. But our Tank Vendor insist to conduct 100% RT on annular Plate Welding joint. Is it right? . It is Fire Water Tank.

Thanks and Regards

I'd be happy if a vendor carried out more tests than needed at no charge.

Within ordered value if vendor insist to carry out 100% RT, what are you loosing except the completion period?

Yes, if he is charging based on per RT film, and you are confident of his quality assurance plan, then you can limit him as per standard or as per your needs you think is sufficient to confirm the quality.
