Siemens 7SJ602

02/24/2012 2:03 PM

Two Binary inputs are used (i.e. B11 and B12 ) in siemens 7SJ602 Relay for motor/feeder protection. In manual these binary inputs are stated to be used as trip circuit supervision....but how actually they are coming in role?????

Check out http://siemens.siprotec.de/download_neu/devices/7SJ602/Catalog/7SJ602_Catalogue_V35.pdf

At the bottom of page 11 there is a connection diagram that should help you.

It is a numerical relay. Binary inputs/outputs are programmable, either via keypad on front panel or via Siemens DIGSI software (PC connected with front port of relay). In the section of Trip Circuit Supervision in relay manual, the inputs BI1 and BI2 are shown just as example.

Check the relay manual for default or factory programming of these inputs. You will need password to change these.
