SA516 Gr 70 yield strength is 260 Mpa. i want to increase the value of yield strength

up to 450 Mpa by means of heat treatment.

Is this a lab experiment or real-world case? Why would you want to do this? Just interested.

There is an intersting case study here for the effect of heat treatment on physical properties of carbon steel. I am not sure it will serve your purpose but it will give some details to understand the actual results of heat treatment.

thank for the information. it is not a case study, i want to increase the yield strength of mtg bracket plate to take the shear load on the bolts, but then i decide to increase the thkness of the plate.
