Window 7 & XP Both Installation

hello sirs, i have got a laptop in b'day gift which is lenovo G570 ,free DOS, i3 processor, 2gbram, with window 7 OS. Now i m going to be install window xp in this lapy. can i run both os in same lapy. Please give me me a guide in detail, so that i can run both xp & w7 in my lapy. thanks in advance

I'm a little late but if you haven't done anything yet there are other possibilities.

Personally I'm not very enthusiastic about dual boot. You'll likely have windows seven home premium, if you want to go to the trouble you can download virtual box (free download) and run XP in a virtual environment.

If you're lucky enough to have windows seven professional or ultimate Microsoft will give you a free download of their virtual machine and also a free copy of XP professional.
