Supporting for Pipe

03/07/2012 1:08 AM

Hi..,

Pipe carrying a fluid at high pressure needs to be supported, what kind of support should go for?

ANd how the load is distributed to supports?

And in case a sudden load is applied to the pipe at the inlet, how the pipe should be strengthened?

Please help where can I find answers for this

Who are you? (Give us a real name. There are lots of Anonymous Posters)

What are you? (A butcher, a baker, a plumber, a farmer, a carpenter, student, what?)

Where are you? (Country, City, Company, School)

What kind of plant is this? (Power plant, waste treatment or homework)

What size in this Pipe?

What is this pipe made of? (Material- Carbon Steel, PVC, what)

What is in this Pipe? (Commodity- Water, Oil, Steam, what)

"At high pressure" What is this High Pressure? (10Bar, 20, 30, 40, What)

Is this pipe running all by its self or are there other pipes (and pipe supports) close by?

What would cause this "Sudden Load" you are concerned about?

What else can you tell us about your problem that will allow us to help you?
