There is a wide range of Voltmeters on the market, try typing Voltmeter into the search bar at http://www.globalspec.com . I am sure you will find a lot of meters to review and compare.
There are cheap ones that only do the very basic measurements, then the ones with a greater number of functions plus frequency measurment, ones with transistor tests, ones with True RMS read out this enables various wave shapes to be measured with out error, some will only measure a good sign wave. Then there are those that measure with greater resolution (accuracy) 4 1/2 digit or better, portable types bench types battery powered or mains powered. Fluke make the expensive industrial range. Meterman make good general pupose types, Tenma make a low cost range. You choose according to you financial constraint versus the measurment requirements. Some limit the max voltage others the max current, others the resistance range. Some measure capacitors, some measure inductance. You pick the best you can afford.
