SIL or Safety Integrity Level is an assessment system for critical systems.

Google "Safety Integrity Level" and you will have a vast number of examples and systems that you can choose from.

Unfortunately there is an issue between ie9 and CR4's thread editor that won't allow me to copypasta some of the 4 million results I got from google and I don't have time to do it longhand.

The solution is to reduce the size of the batch or even make the process continuous, so a runaway reaction cannot occur.
