Transformer Vaccum Impregnation

When we do Vaccum Impregnation on transformer, is it done only to the coils or done to the whole transformer?

We did rotors under vaccum & then put pressure on them, then baked them with D.C current to heating. worked out great. perry

I never know that transformers are being vacuum impregnated!!! I knew that its only for motors.
