Bearing Differentiation

I have a bearing fan 22220 CC/C3.

I want to replace this bearing with 22220 E/C3 .

Can it advisable to replace.

Please give your comments.

As the CC/C3 is not listed now, how about making a telephone call to SKF to check?

CC stands for Spherical Roller Bearing and material is Ceramic While E stands for Double row conveyer bearing ,seal and shield ,sloted for bracket mountaining ,regid design.

But why you want to replace? Technically very minor diffrence is there between the two models. In CC/C3, centring ring rest on inner race and in E/C3, with dia more then 65mm (as your case is), centring ring is fixed in the cage. This helps in better distribution of the lubricating oil.

Below 65mm size two types are same.

If you are getting as an alternate, you can go ahead.
