MV Bar Isolation

Hi all,

I am looking for a product that is isolates the medium voltage ( operating voltage is 31,5 kV ) electric bur against to the touching.

Do you know a products that stisfy our corresponds our need?

Tycho Electronics (Raychem) makes a heat-shrinkable tubing rated up to 36kV for bus bar insulation. You slip it over the bus bar and shrink it with a heat gun or propane torch. See the following link:

They also have it in the form of a tape called HVBT that can be applied to unevenly shaped objects (bus joints, bends, tees, etc.), and is heat-shrunk the same way. My company uses this very often for insulating HV cable to bus connections or cable to transformer bushing connections in place of hand-wrapped tape.
