In INDIA voltage profile 220 or 230 V @ 50Hz , In Foreign 110 or 115 @ 60 Hz. Why??

And In INDIA why not 110 or 115 @ 60 Hz ???

Not all other countries in the world that follow 110V, 60Hz. There are equal number of countries that follow 220V/230V/240V, 50 Hz. The reason for India is that we were under British Rule and hence what was practised in Britain was naturally adopted in India.

beacase in America we dont want people getting killed by exposure to 230V when using household appliances?

110 VAC isnt particularly dangerous.

Whaa? I guess your frame of reference must be different that that of the NFPA, IEEE, etc.

Isn't particularly dangerous when compared to what?

In USA voltage is 110 and GFCI tripping is at 6mA while in UK RCD tripping is at 30mA for humans and tripping times are also different.
