It sounds like you might have water contamination...run test and remove if necessary.

Some possible causes of high suction pressure:
Higher load than usual (e.g., warmer water or product to be chilled)
Not enough compressors running to handle the load
Malfunctioning load/unload valves or mechanism
Excessive clearance (wear) between piston rings and cylinder, or screw and housing.

Need a few more details - is the discharge pressure normal? I suspect it might be low... (system under-serviced). You may have a leak.
