Calculation of Maximum Available Load Per Floor

04/24/2012 9:00 AM

HI THERE,

how do you calculate the maximum available load per floor,as i have measured all the different phase currents in each DB,AND ALSO TO CALCULATE THE CURRENT LOAD PER FLOOR.

e.g red phase 18.2A,blue phase 15.4, white phase 10.2A THE VOLTAGE IS 420V

PLEASE HELP

Calculate Phasewise power by the formula VI Cos phi, where V is 240V, I is the amperes you measured in the respective phase and know the power factor of the loads in each phase. The total load per floor is the aggregate of the per phase loads calculated as above.

you should have a code the dictates the type of calculation you need to perform. measuring the amperage is not the same a calculating the max load available. When done by the code you usually get a larger number that the measured amount. What kind of load is this? residential or commercial?
