Gasket Between Volute and Pump Bonnet in Single Stage Overhung Pump

The pump manufacturer can advise all. How about a telephone call to their technical helpdesk, particularly if the thing is still under warranty?

This fact doesn't stop the thing being the subject of a telephone call to the manufacturer's technical hotline. After all, these people are usually too busy helping out their Customers to spend their time on CR4!

Waiting in vain hope of a reply here must surely be less acceptable than making the call and getting the information straight away?

I have no idea, but as you can see from the three replies you have gotten, actual knowledge and the ability to educate takes a back seat to seeing your name and moniker on CR4. Getting a reply from someone who has actually used a spiral wound ring gasket, or had experience repairing a pump volute casing seems like it might help. In the meantime, look, I got another post!

Your useless response adds no value to the discussion. How would you advise the OP, without knowing anything about the pump?

I would not advise him if I didn't know the answer. I've never used that gasket profile or material or repaired a pump volute casing assembly.
