Material Compatability - Aluminum Bronze

05/01/2012 5:01 AM

Sub sea pressure gauge manufactured in aluminium bronze (ab2) to be connected to 316 st. St. Pipework, is there likely to be any material compatability issue, I think submerged in sea water but may be fresh water ?

I think it's safe to assume that it will corrode. Now, it's up to you to do the risk analysis and figure the service life.
