About ABB Make AC Drive Fault Code

The acs550-01-045A-4 drive sowing fault code (A5001). That means the drive is not responding.

So how i solve the fault

What does it say about this particular fault?

If it doesn't give sufficient information to be able to clear it, then what does it give about the telephone number of the drive manufacturer's local technical helpline?

When i switch on the ac drive, it's keypad display sowing alarm code (5001)

  • What does the manual say about it?
  • What does the telephone helpline customer service representative say about it?

The manual says ( drive is not responding )

i am not able to contact the customer service.

Why not? Is the telephone line engaged, for example?

Is it something silly, like a damaged or loose communications cable, perhaps?

Translate: I'm in a low cost of manufacturing 3rd world country in which the owner/government bosses do not allow their worker/slaves to use telephones, but web access is already there so they can sell on eBAy, so they allow their pseudo engineer/slaves to post inane questions to forums populated by gullible real engineers who are out of work, because of low cost of manufacturing in 3rd world countries with owners/government bosses who don't allow their worker/slaves to use the phones.

I believe that this is what's called an "unrecoverable fault", which means there is nothing that a casual user can do, you MUST contact the factory. If you cannot, then you have a boat anchor, and not even a very good one at that (depending on the size of the unit). But before scrapping it, I would take the earlier suggestion and look for a loose connection.

I have a vfd 55 kw make Abb model acs 550.

When I start it is showing A5001 on display so please suggest me what may be the fault.

..you have to reset to clear the fault...not all faults are field serviceable...
