  1. Dip the tank at intervals, calculate the change in volume from the change in level and divide by the interval between dips.
  2. Review the diesel ordering documentation and calculate the consumption rate from it.
  3. Look at the manufacturer's performance information on the equipment and review against the loading.
  4. Etc.

Use this tried and true method: Ask the Magic Online Crystal Ball

Or, ask the manufacturer.

Try typing "calculate diesel consumption" into the Search all of CR4 box, in the upper right hand portion of the screen.

http://cr4.globalspec.com/search/sitesearch?do=show&sort=textmatchrank&srch=calculate%20diesel%20consumption&order=asc

Then read.

...which makes this one a duplicate thread.

1. The KVA rating, numbers of operating hours and the KWH produced by the generator is not a function of fuel consumption (usually in liters per hour), hence you cannot compute/calculate your diesel consumption using this data.

2. You can easily get the data from the generator's user manual.

3. May I know your motives in asking this question? are you solving engineering problems the hard way?
