Outer armor of either metall can fray, leaving strands that can catch on clothing or skin. A third choice is PVC coating outside the braided metal, but there is extra expense for this.

Salt water is very hard on aluminum. I would use galvanized steel or a non-metallic armor.

Go with Stainless Steel. It maybe more expensive. Galvanized still has an hour rating for the time that galvanization will provide protection and that is only if the galvanization doesn't get penetrated to the mild steel underneath. Galvanization is about 1000 hours of protection from continuous exposure, compared to zinc plating that has different ratings and standard zinc plating provides 24 hours, gold zinc plating provides a little more.

I would go with Stainless steel.

Gents,

I thought I'll consider to using Tinned Coppper Wire Braid c.w PVC outer jacket. That very common and popular installed in this shipboard. Its also easy for me to install and more lighter. Some of corrugated type, metal tape is heavier and difficult intermination. I plan to combine with nickel plated armor. That more suitable rather than galvanized. Any comment??

Appreciate for your share.

Rgrds,
