Low Energy Lighting

we have massive plants and are heavily dependent on High energy lamps for lighting,is there any CFLs that can be purchased specifically designed for industrial enviroments.

Make sure to take a good close look at the efficiency of each. I looked into this once a number of years back and found that the lamps commonly used in industrial environments were more efficient than CFL's. I remember the high pressure sodium lamps putting out somewhere near 2 or 3 times the light as CFL's for the same wattage. Things may have changed though.

CFL's (Compact Fluorescent Lamp) was specifically design to replace the incandescent lamps used in the home. They are not a good alterative to Industrial Fluorescent Lighting. Newer industrial fluorescents can save about 50% in lighting energy cost. Our plant has just replaced all the production floor lighting with fluorescent lights from HID's. With these we cut wattage use in half with and increase of lumination
