220V Synchronous Motor With PWM Inverter?

05/30/2012 8:16 AM

Can we run (220VAC, 4rpm, 4W) Synchronous Motor with 100W 12VDC to 220VAC PWM Inverter? Will there any effect on motor operation by using PWM Inverter?

The two are compatible, although the inverter might be a little over-sized for the job. However, given the low retail value of such a device, it isn't worth re-sizing it.

Go for it. Do report back on how well the combination works.
